About Rand

I am Rand, an architect and ceramic artist, with a great love for art, design, and creating with my hands.

My background in architecture has always drawn me to the balance between creative thinking and precision. Architecture taught me to think about space, proportion, function, structure, and the little details that make a design feel right. Working with clay has given me a completely different way to explore those very same ideas—a way that is more tangible, more intuitive, and open to imperfection.

I founded Beirïfu as a space where these two worlds meet. A place where structure can exist alongside spontaneity, where an idea begins as a sketch and slowly takes shape through hands, tools, and material. I am interested in the connection between form and function, but no less so in everything that happens along the way—the texture of the clay, the marks left by the hands, the small changes that occur during the work, and the unexpected results that make each piece unique.

For me, ceramics is not just about the finished item. I love the process just as much—preparing the clay, building, working on the stones, experimenting with textures and glazes, and seeing an idea become something real.

Beirïfu is my way of creating exactly the place I've always been looking for: a place to slow down, experiment, learn, and create with clay. A space for people who already know ceramics, and for those who simply want to try something new with their hands.

Through Beirïfu I create my own ceramic pieces and small collections, develop custom-made works, and conduct workshops where you can experience the process up close. The studio is constantly changing, taking shape from new ideas, materials, people, and projects.

At its heart, Beirïfu is about creation—in thought, in imperfection, and with hands.
